Watermelon and Flax Protein Shake

Boy, this was a good idea! Watermelon makes a delicious protein shake. And it is so good for you. Watermelon is full of minerals such as potassium, lycopene, calcium and iron. And it isn’t slack on vitamins either which are vitamins A, C and B-6. Adding this wonderful sweet red fruit to your diet helps to cut risks of high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, cancer, high cholesterol, bone loss, kidney stones, heart attack and obesity.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of watermelon, sliced
1 generous tablespoon of flax
1 scoop protein powder

    • In this shake… I didn’t put much watermelon, about 1/2 a cup but you could really taste the watermelon in it. It makes you feel even better when you are enjoying foods that are good for you as well!
