I have had a very good day today. I did a little bit of exercises …the New Step for 15 minutes which was one mile. And the meals today have been wonderful. No complaints with these recipes! But, I wonder how in the world I will lose any weight this week because I think I’m eating “too good”. haha. Along with the mulivitamins I have also started adding flax seed to my morning protein shake. From Dr Hyman’s book, The Blood Sugar Solution he tells us to include flax seed in our diets and it may also lessen the severity of diabetes by stabilizing blood-sugar levels.

Breakfast: Protein shake with also a small banana and flax seed added

Snack: celery, carrots, cauliflower, vegetable medley and nuts

Lunch: Zucchini and Onions

Dinner: Chicken and vegetables (zucchini, onions and carrots)

  1. Flax is a great plant source for Omega-3 fatty acid, also referred to as alpha-linolenic acid. It helps in reducing inflammation throughout the body, so after a couple of weeks you should be able to walk that mile every day free of body discomfort.

  2. Yes! And thank you for that information. I am thinking that I want to buy a cute little crock (dish) with a spoon so that I can keep the flax seed on my table. That way I’ll remember to add it to all my dishes.
