Day 20

Today was laundry day. After laboring with 4 loads in and out of the washer/dryer, I managed to sit down to a nourishing lunch.

Breakfast: Broccoli with peanut butter & Agave nectar

Lunch: Green salad with spinach, broccoli, celery, carrots, mushrooms, cucumbers, pecans, Parmesan cheese & a touch of oil/vinegar dressing

Dinner: Nuts

For some time now I have been sleeping later and later on Saturdays and this was one of them. It was probably 10 before I stirred into the kitchen so therefore I wanted something a little sweet and the peanut butter with the Agave nectar was just the ticket. If you have not tried it you might want to…it’s yummy! I got it from Logan Guleff, a Memphis runner up in the Jiffy Peanut Contest for his Chomp Burger. It also was too late in the day for a dinner especially, after the huge salad I had at lunch.

I would like to mention that I have started using agave vs honey so that I will be getting natural sugars and also Dr Hyman recommends agave to replace syrup and or sugar. And trust me…after you eliminate sugar from your diet it does not take much of the agave to make your dish sweet enough!
